“Now to Him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith-to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.” Romans 16:25-27
Today’s reading. It’s interesting that I read about this and the glory of God. My dad showed me a pod-cast/online sermon by Jeffery Anderson (Seattle area) and it was a sermon about Gods glory. It was amazing and left me barely able to grasp the idea. It left me barely able to escape my selfish reasoning and gave me a hint of desire -I pray for more of this. At the end the preacher said that all we can give in return is our thirst; we can only devour the overwhelming glory of God in order to glorify Him or share His wonders to others… And I thirst; my soul, like human souls, is ravenously thirsty and I want more, more more. I fill it with selfish pleasures but these will never fill nor glorify the most wonderful God and Creator. Humans who cant see Christ Jesus glorified, are blind to the mystery and power of the gospel. Christ may be to them -a fact. And the facts exist and the truth of it is engrained and moving through the equation of life, the equation of science, the equation of human nature/desires; but without the revelation of the knowledge of Christ, -that is, that He, Jesus, came from heaven, the Son of God, -came to earth and died for humanity’s sins so that we might live, conquering death and resurrecting from death and therefore resurrecting us all if we see and believe in Him,- without this knowledge of His love and belief in Gods true nature, we are without Him and empty and lost.
This morning. Nothing to do but read, put on make-up, make another latte, plan shows, choreograph… The coffee stand is slow today.
Here are the choices. When you have nothing else to do at work :)
Going out. I’m running errands for this weeks show! Thoroughly Modern Millie is opening this weekend (Jeremy and I are directing it).
